SUMMARY: California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV) is an award-winning public charter school in Duarte, CA, acclaimed for its exceptional arts and academic programs. CSArts-SGV serves approximately 1,200 students in grades 7-12 from more than 80 cities within and outside of the San Gabriel Valley. Students flourish as artists and scholars in a uniquely challenging and nurturing educational environment.

Under the supervision of the Executive Vice President, the Director of Development will be a key member of the CSArts-SGV team. This position is responsible for coordinating annual fundraising activities for the nonprofit CSArts-SGV Foundation. These activities include, but are not limited to, identifying, cultivating, soliciting, securing, renewing/upgrading and stewarding annual gifts and grants from parents, alumni and alumni families, community donors, businesses, corporations, government agencies and foundations, as well as managing Foundation support groups and assisting with special events and projects. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree; minimum five years nonprofit fundraising experience as a development professional; knowledge of local, regional and national funding resources; proven track record of fundraising success including grant writing, direct solicitation of individuals and businesses, as well as volunteer management and special event experience. Experience working in an educational or cultural arts organization fundraising environment is a plus.

SALARY/BENEFITS: Work year: 240 days; Salary: Placement on Salary Schedule, $84,973.65+, commensurate with education and experience; Benefits: Employer-paid health, vision and dental plans, and State Retirement Plan CalPERS
