Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) is an award-winning public charter school in Santa Ana, CA, acclaimed for its exceptional arts and academic programs. OCSA serves over 2,200 students in grades 7-12 from all over Southern California, who flourish as artists and scholars in a uniquely challenging and nurturing educational environment.
We are seeking an experienced advancement professional to help identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts of $5,000+ from our parents, alumni and alumni families, special event donors, support group members and community philanthropists, as well as from businesses, corporations, and foundations. Under the direction of the Vice President of Development, the Director of Development is part of an OCSA Foundation team which is responsible for raising over $10 million in contributions annually. This is a great opportunity for a positive, energetic and ambitious individual who is ready to support our mission and grow with the organization.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and seven years nonprofit fundraising experience as a paid development professional. Knowledge of the local and regional philanthropic community. Demonstrated track record of fundraising success including grant writing, major gift solicitation of individuals and businesses, as well as in volunteer management and special events. Prefer past experience working in an educational or cultural arts organization fundraising environment. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification is a plus.
