This is a new position at the sister campus of Orange County School of the Arts, called The California School of the Arts-San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV). This public charter school offers a premier academic and arts education, and is located in Duarte, near the City of Hope campus. Under the supervision of the Executive Vice President, the Director of Annual Giving and Family Engagement will be a key member of the CSArts-SGV team, collaborating with Business Office, Marketing/PR and Special Event staff to manage the annual parent giving campaign, coordinate annual fundraising activities, and support the growth of the CSArts-SGV Foundation.  The Director will coordinate the school-wide, annual parent giving campaign. The Director will develop and manage a portfolio of prospects and donors. Fundraising strategies include in-person meetings, campus tours, performance/special event invitations, donor cultivation and recognition events, community presentations, written grant proposals and personal correspondence, emails and phone calls. The Director will also serve as a liaison to Foundation support groups, helping to increase participation by recruiting new members, providing benefit fulfillment, preparing regular communications, handling administrative details associated with meetings and affiliated events, managing RSVP lists, encouraging membership renewals/upgrades and identifying prospects for further cultivation. The Director will collaborate with a team to develop/produce Foundation fundraising and other affiliated events. Bachelor's degree required. Experience working in a nonprofit, educational or arts organization environment preferred. Fundraising, volunteer management and/or special event experience is a plus. Work year: 240 days. Salary: $69,363+. Benefits: Employer paid- health, vision and dental plans. and State Retirement Plan CalPERS.
