West Coast University (WCU), a private university with the singular focus of educating health care professionals, is currently seeking an Associate Director of Alumni Relations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional to join a growing university as we expand our academic programs in health care and related fields.
Reporting to the University Director of Alumni Relations and working closely and collaboratively with Campus Directors, Student Services, Clinical Relations and Career Services staff in a multi-faceted, multi-location academic and administrative setting is responsible for alumni outreach, the alumni portal, constituent’s records and tracking. Assist with events and projects to address relevant issues, enhance communication between students, alumni and administration, and/or provides for social interaction, including forums, dinners, faculty-student discussions and special presentations; develop mentoring activities.
The Associate Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for the strategic planning, creation and maintenance of alumni communications to foster strong relationships and goodwill with alumni. Constituents include alumni as well as current students and staff. This position reports to the University Director of Alumni Relations and works collaboratively with colleagues in Alumni Relations, as well as with Special Events, Communications, Student Relations, Clinical Relations, Registrar, career Services and Financial Aid to maximize alumni engagement, avoid duplication of efforts, and build loyalty, institutional pride, and financial support of West Coast University.
Bachelor degree in education, administration, business management, communications, marketing, research or related field required.
Master’s degree in education, administration, business management, student affairs, or related field preferred.
Knowledge of website Management, CRM and Raiser’s Edge.
A minimum of three years of experience in Alumni Relations at a private college or university.
A minimum of five years of overall experience in higher education with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted, multi-location direction and planning.
Understanding of Marketing & Communications Philosophy.
Photography and videography background preferred.
Direct experience with all major social network including but not limited to direct management and creation of social media campaigns.
Knowledge of event planning preferred.
Experience with service information management systems preferred.
Experience with MS Office.
Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information, reports and projections.
Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Title IV, ACICS, WASC, and other accreditation standards.
