The University of California, Irvine (UCI), one of the nation's largest and most diverse public universities, is proud to announce the creation of a new strategic, collaborative fundraising position to support the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences: the Associate Director of Development, Corporate Relations.

Under the leadership of Dean Marios Papaefthymiou, the Donald Bren School of ICS has articulated a clear mission to lead the innovation of new information and computing technology by fundamental research in the core areas of information and computer sciences and cultivating authentic cutting-edge research collaborations across the broad range of computing and information application domains as well as studying their economic, commercial and social significance. The Associate Director will play a critical role in helping the Donald Bren School of ICS realize its goals through attracting increased levels of philanthropic support.

Associate Director of Development, Corporate Relations

The Associate Director of Development, Corporate Relations (ADoD) for the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences will work collaboratively with the Senior Director of Development, the Dean, and University Advancement to plan, develop, and lead the corporate development program and secure significant philanthropic investments. The ADoD will develop an effective corporate relations program, career services organization and Capstone project management services, with an expected fundraising goal of $1 million in annual corporate support. The ADoD will serve as a member of the School's Development team and will also be a highly collaborative colleague with other development officers across the campus.

The ideal candidate will have experience-based knowledge of the principles and practices of fundraising for a comprehensive research university, preferably in a STEM field. Knowledge of the computer sciences is highly desirable. The ADoD should also have the ability to advise the dean as to productive and effective fundraising outreach and interactions with corporate entities, including foundations, with an established track record in working with corporate executives of Fortune 500 companies. A bachelor degree and five years successful professional development and/or fundraising related experience, preferably in higher education; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience, from which comparable knowledge, skill, and abilities have been achieved, is required.
